Attorney Joseph Patituce entered not guilty pleas on September 13, 2019, on behalf of Tevin Biles-Thomas, who is a Corporal in the United States Army. In addition to multiple deployments overseas Tevin Biles-Thomas has a spotless record and is a model citizen.
The pleas were made during a video arraignment in a Cuyahoga County courtroom.
The 24-year-old man was indicted in August following a purported eight month investigation on charges of murder, voluntary manslaughter, felony assault, and perjury. Biles-Thomas’s bond is set at $1 million.
According to reports of the incident in question, gunfire erupted after a group of men showed up uninvited to a party held at an Airbnb property in Cleveland. Three men were killed in the shooting.
Attorney Patituce says his client is innocent of all charges. He believes every person has an opportunity to explain their side of the story and defend themselves—no matter the seriousness of the alleged crimes.
